1. About DoggyFontein
DoggyFontein ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile pet grooming service operating in the greater Cape Town metro. By booking an appointment with us, you ("the customer") agree to the terms below.
2. Bookings & Payment
- All bookings are made online at doggyfontein.app or via direct contact with our team.
- Payment is taken at the time of booking via PayFast. A booking is only confirmed once payment is successfully processed.
- Pricing varies by package, pet size, and selected extras. Final price is shown at checkout.
- Multi-pet bookings are charged as a single transaction covering all pets in the cart.
3. Service Area
We currently service the greater Cape Town metro including the Atlantic Seaboard, Northern Suburbs, Southern Suburbs, West Coast, and surrounds. Locations outside our service area cannot be booked through the platform. If you're unsure, please contact us before booking.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- You may cancel or reschedule your booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time at no charge.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a 50% cancellation fee to cover the groomer's allocated time and travel.
- No-shows or cancellations on arrival forfeit the full booking amount.

5. Pet Health & Safety
- It is your responsibility to disclose any health conditions, behavioural issues, allergies, or medications relevant to grooming at the time of booking.
- We reserve the right to refuse or pause a groom if the pet shows aggression, severe distress, or a medical condition requiring veterinary attention.
- If our groomer determines that grooming would put the pet's health at risk (e.g., heavily matted coat causing skin issues), we may recommend a vet visit before completing the service.
- You must ensure the pet is up to date on core vaccinations.
6. On the Day of the Groom
- Our van requires a safe, level place to park near the booking address. Please make sure parking is accessible at the scheduled time.
- An adult (18+) must be present at the address to receive the groomer and authorise the service.
- Arrival times are estimates. Traffic, weather, or earlier appointments running over may shift our arrival by up to 30 minutes. We will keep you informed via WhatsApp.
7. Liability
Our groomers exercise reasonable care and professional skill at all times. We are not liable for pre-existing skin conditions, latent injuries, or behavioural reactions outside our reasonable control. In the unlikely event of a genuine grooming-related injury, please notify us within 24 hours and we will work with you and your vet to resolve it fairly.
8. Recurring Bookings
If you opt into a recurring booking schedule (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, etc.), we will hold your preferred slot on the same day and time for each cycle. You can pause, change, or cancel a recurring booking at any time by contacting us, subject to the cancellation terms above.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of our service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
